The "Mackenzie Splendour" Package
Enjoy 6 days and 7 nights of skiing in the Mt Cook/Mackenzie Region. Inclusions:
- Transportation from Queenstown and return.
- 4 days skiing at a local field.
- One full day of fully guided heli-skiing in the Mt Cook National Park (5 runs), with the option of a second day, or a day of glacier skiing (2 X 10km runs)
- All meals are included.
- Fully serviced twin share accommodation.
- Daily transportation to and from the ski areas
- We build in a weather day for you to explore the rest of the region
What is the cost?
Prices start at NZ$2985 for the package (based on twin share), with the option of a second day of heli-ski priced at NZ$3775 for the six days and seven nights.
Discounts apply for groups of four (families of up to 5 can be accommodated).
There is an option of a ski-plane glacier ski rather than heli-ski if desired.
What do I need to bring?
A good start is your skis and ski clothing - including a suitable helmet. The alpine area is based on rock, not grass, so any hidden (and those not hidden) can be a health hazard! Layered clothing is the best option, with one waterproof layer and a few thinner underlayers, which can be adjusted through the day. Travelling from Australia or outside of New Zealand, you'll need your passport and possibly a visa.
