Southern Alps

AORAKI

In English, the name means Cloud Piercer. For English speakers, the name is Mount Cook, the highest peak in New Zealand's Southern Alps. For skiers, the name means excellent skiing in the heart of the Alps.

Offering you the opportunity to ski in Solitude and Remarkable Scenery

What a great combination! When you ski the Mackenzie Country, you can forget all about crowds and lift queues as you gaze out over the Southern Alps and majestic Mount Cook/Aorkai, with the Mackenzie Valley and glacial waters of Lake Ohau far below you. This is the field the South Island guides and instructors ski on their days off. With a combination of family friendly beginner and intermediate runs and terrain park on piste and intermediate to advanced runs off, there is plenty of terrain to challenge even the most experienced skiers on the primary field of Ohau Ski Field. Add to that a day of skiing the wilderness with heli-ski guides and you have a package that is second to none.

What do we offer?

We'll take the bad parts out of ski trips and keep only the good bits in!

In fact, at the end of the day, all you need do is relax in the spa and relive the memories...
